GENERAL
INFORMATION
The Simi Valley Mothers of Twins and Triplets Club (SVMOTTC) is a
support as well as a social and educational organization for the benefit of mothers of
multiples and those expecting multiples.
We hope you will decide to share with us your
joys, struggles, and triumphs of being a mother of multiples.
MEETINGS
Monthly General Meetings are held at a member’s home on the first Monday of each
month at 7:30pm (unless its a major holiday). Business Meetings are held on the third
Monday of the month at 7:00pm, usually at a local restaurant.
MEMBERSHIP
Yearly Membership dues are $25, with $9 of that going to the National Organization’s
membership. All members are entitled to full participation in all club activities which
include: monthly meetings (speakers, demonstrations, crafts), club library, clothing
exchange, Secret Pals, and social events for members and their family. You’ll also
receive our monthly newsletter and information from the state and national organizations.
MONTHLY
NEWSLETTER
SVMOTTC’s monthly newsletter, “Double Talk”, is written by and for our
members. In it you will find information about our General Meetings, Business Meetings,
Club activities, helpful events, member news, and columns that address special interests.
The “Double Talk” newsletter is published and mailed the last week of each
month.
SOCIAL
ACTIVITIES
Our club sponsors holiday activities and annual events with an
emphasis on children of all ages. We also sponsor activities for adults only. Some club
activities include: Family BBQ, beach and zoo trips, play days, Mom’s Night Out, and
frequent get-togethers to socialize.
PHILANTHROPIC
Our club raises funds each year for donations to families in
hardship. We sponsor an annual garage sale for different non-profit organizations and we
raise money throughout the year by selling SCRIP. We also donate periodically to local
organizations.

EDUCATION
We have a library of books & videos relating to multiples as well as to general
interest. Members may borrow them free of charge. Our education is further enhanced by a
variety of professional speakers.
CLOTHING
EXCHANGE
Clothing exchanges are held periodically at our monthly General
Meetings. Members may buy, sell, or exchange clothing and equipment. Any for sale or
needed items by Club members may also be advertised free of charge in our monthly
newsletter.
SUNSHINE
SVMOTTC brings the warmth of sunshine to any member or
prospective who is in need of our help. We do this in the spirit of friendship.
BIG
SISTER PROGRAM
Big Sisters take new members under their wings and keep them
aware of club activities. They keep in touch and ensure new members meet and get to know
other members.
CLUB PURPOSE
Although being a mother of multiples is a wonderful blessing it can also be very
challenging and stressful. For that reason, our club is very important to many of our
members. We share our experiences, give and get advice, and of course, have fun together.
SVMOTTC was founded in 1966 with the purpose
of understanding and assisting in mutual problems and situations that confront parents and
guardians of multiple births. We also exchange ideas, clothing, and twin equipment and
participate in local and national research projects .

AFFILIATIONS
Membership into SVMOTTC also entitles you to membership
and benefits of the Southern California Mothers of Twins Club, Inc. (SCMOTC)
as well as the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. (NOMOTC) |
